Congratulations to 5th Grader Marc Taylor!
Our own Marc Taylor came in SECOND PLACE out of 10 finalists when he represented Learning Gate Community School in the USF Young Innovator's competition on Feb. 11th at USF. Marc presented his innovative idea called the "Up Bump" to a live panel of judges including representatives from USF, HSN, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and private industry. His idea was to place automatic speed bumps in school zones that raise and lower based on the time of the day. Marc's fantastic idea and his perseverance are a tribute to him and we are so proud to call him one of our own!
On March 6th we will be holding our annual obstacle course for the elementary school classes that have full participation in the raffle. Please consider signing up to volunteer to help our kids enjoy the obstacle course. All shifts will be outdoors & having fun with the kiddos. Be sure and dress comfortably and for the elements. Please click here to sign up to volunteer.
