For more than 100 years, The Center for Transforming Lives has been giving women and children the tools they need to move from poverty to independence. I am passionate about this program because The Center offers a comprehensive, successful plan to meet the needs of women, children and families. With women and children being the fastest growing segment of the homeless population and more than 220,000 women and children living below the poverty level in Tarrant County, the need is huge. This campaign is an opportunity for you to hear the successful stories of several clients and to contribute to the future of others. Put yourself in tHEiR shoes…

Imagine: You are a single mother, with a steady job making just over minimum wage, but it’s not enough: every month it’s a struggle to pay your bills and your credit card debt just keeps growing. You dream of a better future for your family, and owning your own home one day. But “one day” keeps moving farther and farther away.

Tiffany was paired with a Center for Transforming Lives Financial Coach and together they developed a structured savings plan to pay off her debt, raise her credit and save monthly.

She now has a credit score of 620 and recently made the down payment on her first home. As the first homeowner in her family, Tiffany says, “I’m leaving a legacy for my kids.”
