To be an active member of the North Shore Yacht Club, you will likely incur these costs:
>> Membership Dues.  Click What does Membership Cost
>> Parking Permits for Park Ave. Boating Facility. These are available from the Park District. For costs ($158), etc., click here.  To purchase click here.
>> Class Fees. Before being approved to use Club-owned:
   > KAYAKS, you are REQUIRED to take:
      Introduction to Kayaking class  (per person)   $65
         Note:  Minimum age for kayaks is 13.
   > SAILBOATS, you MAY be required to take:  
      Adult Sailing Lessons - 7 Sessions
         First Household Member.   $240  (Must purchase Full Membership)
         Each additional student in same household:   $350
  > STAND UP PADDLE BOARDS, you MAY be required to take: 
     SUP / Paddle Boarding Lessons (per person)     $60
 
In addition, all NSYC-owned watercraft users are required to pass a Skills, Swim & Safety Competency Assessment for each type of boat (sail, kayak, SUP) prior to use, and sail/paddle with a buddy in like craft.
