Each year in May a group of Law Enforcement Officers from North Carolina start a journey to Washington D.C. on bicycles. The journey begins in Raleigh (Raleigh Police Memorial) then travels across North Carolina to Chesapeake, Va. We will stop in towns who have lost a hero and recognize them. After we arrive in Chesapeake, we join other officers from across the nation to participate in the Law Enforcement United bicycle ride from Chesapeake, Va. to Washington, D.C. as part of the National Peace Officers Memorial Week. This journey will span 505 miles across both states. This journey has two purposes, first to honor all the fallen officers and second to raise money to send the children of fallen officers to a special summer camp. Donations raised will benefit Concerns of Police Survivors Kids Camp. The cost is $1500 per one child and one adult to attend. Each additional child is $750. The average amount per family (one adult and two children) is $2250. Please consider donating. Thanks
