SInce 1936, the Delta Gamma Fraternity's national philanthropy has been Service for Sight. Delta Gamma’s across the nation fundraise and volunteer for approximately 120,000 hours per year to assist those who are blind or visually impaired. Money raised by our organization is also used to fund outside organizations that share our mission: Service for Sight.
Anchor Splash, which was created by the University of Miami's Beta Tau chapter, has become the most important fundraiser for all Delta Gamma chapters in the US and Canada. UM's AnchorSplash events will be held on November 2nd & 3rd. The UM fraternities join with us to raise money and awareness for our cause through sponsored aquatic events. In addition to this sponsorship, we would like to reach out to anyone who is willing to support this worthwhile cause! All donations are tax deductible as Delta Gamma is, by law, a 501c3 entity.

Anchor Splash 2014

Greetings from the sisters of the Beta Tau Chapter chapter of Delta Gamma at The University of Miami! We will be holding our annual Anchor Splash fundraiser on Sunday and Monday, November 2nd and 3rd, this year.

We would like to thank you for your participation in our major fundraiser Anchor Splash 2014 to benefit the Delta Gamma Foundation and Service for Sight.

Do Good, our motto since 1873, was penned by our Founders before the letters Delta Gamma were even chosen. This motto is alive and well in 2014.

Our VISION is to greatly impact the lives of those in society who are blind or visually impaired. We have also been looking forward to benefiting our members through life enriching educational opportunities, as well, such as merit and need based scholarships and fellowships.

Since 1936, our national philanthropy has been Service for Sight. Delta Gammas across the nation fundraise and volunteer their time (approximately 120,000 hours per year) to assist those who are blind or visually impaired. Four schools for children without sight have been begun by Delta Gammas and still exist to this day. Donations from our fundraising events also assist in the area of grants to organizations which share our mission Service for Sight. We are making a difference!

Here in Miami, our chapter volunteers often with the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind. This amazing organization provides rehabilitation support and programs for adjusting to a more independent lifestyle to people of all ages who have visual disabilities. Our members participate in several events, help serve lunch throughout the week, and help fundraise for this organization. It is such a privilege and honor for us to work directly with people who are benefitting from Delta Gamma's mission. In addition, our members donate eyeglasses, collect boxtops for schools for the visually impaired, and increase awareness about our philanthropy.
