Hi, my name is Casey Dunne and I am a member of Delta Gamma at DePaul University. May 5th-9th is our annual Anchor Week which is a week dedicated to raising money and spreading awareness for our philanthropy, Service for Sight. Service for Sight houses five schools across the country for children with visual impairments. My goal is to raise $250 this week. Eta Pi Chapter of Delta Gamma DePaul University Anchor Week 2025 Greetings from the Eta Pi chapter of Delta Gamma at DePaul University! Our annual Anchor Week is being held from May 5th to May 9th. Thank you for supporting our fundraiser benefitting Service for Sight, and the Delta Gamma Foundation. Delta Gamma's 2025 big event here at DePaul will be AnchorSlam which will be a basketball tournament! Other events during this week will include our AnchorWalk Anchormate Competition, Delta Dogs, Desserts with DG, and finally AnchorSlam! All the proceeds earned from this fun-filled week will be supporting our foundation, Service for Sight! "Do Good" has been Delta Gamma’s timeless motto since the beginning. This charge continues in 2025 as we work to positively impact our campus and strengthen our community. We believe the pursuit of doing good is never done. Delta Gammas advocates for a better world for people who are blind or visually impaired through our national philanthropy, Service for Sight. Our women across the United States and Canada fundraise and volunteer their time (approximately 120,000 hours per year) to advocate for and serve this marginalized community. Here at DePaul, so far this year we as a chapter have a total of 300 service hours! We educate about sight preservation and are dedicated to providing access and opportunity for people with visual impairments including five Delta Gamma Schools for Children with Visual Impairments founded by members of Delta Gamma. Donations from fundraising events support grants to organizations that share our Service for Sight mission. In addition, Delta Gamma Foundation empowers our sisters to be motivated women of impact, to grow social responsibility and authentic leadership by funding exceptional training initiatives, and to invest in the academic success of our women through scholarships and fellowships.
