Supporting Ourselves ... Supporting Each Other

Welcome. Whether you were recently diagnosed as Autistic, your child received a diagnosis, or you’re simply looking for answers—you are not alone.

Finding your way can feel overwhelming at first. There are new terms, new systems, and a lot to process—ASD, IEPs, 504 plans, SSI. We understand, because we’ve been there too. Our community is here to listen, to share, and to help you navigate what comes next.

The Autism Society Orange County (ASOC)—formerly the Orange County Asperger’s Support Group—is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization serving the community since 2003. We support autistic individuals across the lifespan, as well as their families, caregivers, and allies.

ASOC is proud to be an affiliate of the Autism Society of America, a leading national organization with a network of over 70 affiliates across the country. This connection allows us to bring trusted resources, national advocacy, and a shared mission to Orange County, while continuing to provide locally driven programs and community-based support.

Our programs are designed to foster connection, belonging, and practical support:

- Social opportunities for children, teens, and adults—including game nights, movie outings, and community gatherings
- Adult programs (18+) such as coffee meetups and peer connection groups
- Parent support, including groups for families of young adults
- Professionally facilitated discussions and educational events
- Community-wide experiences that bring people together in fun and meaningful ways

All events are listed on our members-only calendar, where you can explore opportunities and RSVP.

As a volunteer-driven organization, ASOC thrives because of people like you. Whether you participate, share resources, or lend your time, you help strengthen a community built on understanding and support.
