GeocacheAlaska! Inc. has two primary membership classifications. We offer a free "Cheechako" membership level. Signing up for this level puts you on our mailing list for our Newsletter and occasional special announcements via direct email. We also offer a paid "Sourdough" membership level. These members help financially support the operation of our organization. In addition to Cheechako benefits, our Sourdough members also receive discounts from our merchandise store, voting rights in our elections, as well as a customized trackable nametag during their first year of membership.
When you sign up or confirm your membership with us through MemberPlanet, you'll be asked for payment via PayPal. You may set up automatic annual renewal payments or choose to pay manually each year. You may log into your member portal here on MemberPlanet to update your contact information or change your membership status any time.
GeocacheAlaska! Inc. Mission Statements:Promote geocaching as an exciting, family-oriented outdoor activity that increases awareness and use of Alaska's public parks and trail systems.
Provide opportunities for the geocaching community to enjoy geocaching in Alaska and to meet and socialize with other geocachers.
Increase awareness of geocaching issues in Alaska through interaction with other outdoor activity groups, clubs, organizations, and the public.
Educate geocachers on proper geocaching methods and promote stewardship of our natural resources through low impact geocaching activities.
Educate other outdoor enthusiasts and user groups about geocaching.
Represent geocaching interests in public forums and to recreation land managers.
Actively promote the "Cache In - Trash Out" (CITO) program to help in the maintenance of public parks and trail systems and foster good working relationships with land managers.
