WTC is offering parallel trainings to Faculty and staff therapists on Providing Gender affirming care with Sand Chang. Sand has been facilitating our Gender Affirming Case Consultation group with Faculty this year which has been very engaging. This is an important and ongoing conversation and we welcome you all to join us in deepening our capacity to work with this important and underserved community.

We are asking that Faculty and staff therapist read “A Clinician’s Guide to Gender Affirming Care” by Chang, Singh and dickey. This will ensure there is some common language in the community as we engage these trainings.

Sand Chang, PhD (pronouns: they/them/their) is a Chinese American nonbinary psychologist and trainer based in Oakland, CA who specializes in trauma, EMDR, eating disorders, addictions, relationships, LGBTQ communities, and trans health. Sand co-authored A Clinician's Guide to Gender-Affirming Care, published in December 2018 by New Harbinger. Sand is the Clinical Practice Consultant for Northern California Kaiser Permanente, a member of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health’s Standards of Care 8 Task Force, and past Chair of the American Psychological Association Committee on Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity (CSOGD).

We will be offering 3 Free CEU’s for Current Faculty who attend this training. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer CEU’s for Clinical Psychologists. You will need to attend the entire training to receive CEU’s.
