Fellow Alumni,
As your new Career Transitions and Networking Board members, we'll look to supporting and strengthening the "gripping of hands" both within the Long Gray Line and externally to fellow Veterans in North Florida.
One such upcoming opportunity that may be of interest to those looking to transition careers or support Veterans in transition is the "Vets on T.A.P." group that will be celebrating their one-year anniversary on June 28th. This is a Friday evening 7-11 pm social/networking event at Veterans United Craft Brewery, 8999 Western Way in Jacksonville. Vets on T.A.P. -- led by a retired Navy officer Will Gibson -- is a group for transitioning military, veterans, spouses, local veteran non-profits, and business leaders in Jacksonville, FL. Currently, Vets on TAP hosts networking and education events, and plans to expand to areas including veterans transition support and a job board. Vets on TAP will accomplish this by establishing as a 501(c)3 non-profit and through securing grants and corporate sponsorship.
Sincerely Go Army!!
