This event is free for all members of the New York, Chicago, or Washington D.C. Chapters of the Coalition. Non-members are asked to pay a $10 fee to join.

Please join the New York Chapter for a panel discussion focused on partnership and lateral transitions. The presentation will cover funding partnerships, credit and compensation matters, and the partnership market. The discussion will provide participants with tools to add to their toolkit as they evaluate their professional options. We look forward to you joining us!

Shari Davidson the is the founder and President of On Balance Search Consultants, a boutique legal recruiting firm. Shari has been in recruiting, staffing & development for  over 20 years, and recruits individuals and groups. Shari helps candidates navigate the search process from beginning of their career to succession planning. She has opened regional offices of national law, as well as merged law firms within each other.  With her knowledge of the legal industry, she guides & strategizes with the transitioning attorney to make the right decision about the next place in their career, and her placement track has very  high retention rate. She recruits for LIFE, not just another job!

LaDonna Lusher is a partner at Virginia & Ambinder, LLP, and has represented thousands of workers in employment related matters, including complex class actions to recover unpaid wages and benefits, prevailing wage violations, employment discrimination matters, sexual harassment, retaliation, FLSA violations, wage parity act violations, and unlawful termination and discipline. LaDonna has litigated labor and employment law claims in both federal and state courts.  She has also provided testimony on employees’ rights in the workplace at hearings held before New York’s Department of Labor and the New York City Commission for Human Rights. LaDonna is an experienced appellate attorney and has additional experience in general commercial litigation. LaDonna has authored several articles on employee rights, including an article on the rights of unpaid interns that was published in U.S. News & World Report, and hasbeen named in Best Lawyers' Women of Influence awards.

Bahareh Samanian is the Director of Talent Acquisition at Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP.  Bahareh is proof that you can reinvent your professional self and leverage your J.D. to find your passion with a few twists and turns.  After litigating for nine years, she began searching for something more and found her calling in legal talent acquisition.  Since 2015, Bahareh has led firm wide lawyer recruiting for DWT where she, along with her team and lawyer colleagues, identify, attract and hire legal talent at all levels.  She specifically focuses on strategic lateral partner and group recruitment.  She also serves on the firm’s Diversity Executive Council to explore and influence issues addressing diversity, equity and inclusion.
