Join the National Board of the Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law for the second of a four-part series on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization.

Jennifer Welch, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Illinois, and Mary Ziegler, Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Law from University of California Davis -School of Law, will focus on an analysis of the history of the U.S. abortion debate, state trigger laws and the effects of Dobbs and various pre- and post-Roe state abortion laws on assisted reproduction and reproductive health issues.

Illinois CLE credit is pending.

We hope that our member organizations will use the Dobbs Series as an opportunity to gather and discuss the topics presented in an open and inclusive manner. Future programs will address the impact of the decision on the following topics:

Program 3: Benefits - health insurance benefits, travel stipends, privacy and remote work.

Program 4: The Role of the Women's Initiative - practical tools to support women in law initiatives' efforts to help women impacted by Dobbs, including through effective education, advocacy, pro bono programs and other initiatives.

Dates and speakers for the upcoming programs will be announced as they become available.
