South Carolina still leads the nation in incidents of domestic violence - 41.5% of women and 17.4% of men will experience some form of domestic violence in their lifetime. In SC, 72% of all murder-suicides involve an intimate partner. The stats show that all practicing clinicians in SC should be able to recognize the signs of domestic violence and be skilled in safety planning with clients. Presenters will highlight what to look for and how to facilitate a safety plan with both adults and children. 

Program Objectives - Participants Will Be Able to:
Obj a - Identify signs and symptoms of domestic violence.
Obj b - Develop safety planning skills to implement immediately in their practice.
Obj c - Understand the prevalence and profound impact of domestic violence.
