Recognizing Intimate Partner Violence In College Students
Presenter: Chandler Cox M.Ed., LPC, NCC
August 19, 2022 | 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM | 1 CE
Young adulthood is becoming an even more challenging time in today's digital world; young people are grappling with issues of identity, isolation and new challenges in relational intimacy. Concurrently, therapy is becoming more accepted and encouraged among people ages 18 - 24. The chances of encountering a young adult facing relational challenges and abusive relationship dynamics are increasing. Join us for a live and interactive webinar to discuss these challenges and how therapists can meet the needs of this special population.
** While college students are discussed, interventions gained from this presentation can be used with any age group **
Program Objectives - Participants Will Be Able to:
Obj a - Recognize signs and symptoms of intimate partner violence
Obj b - Identify unique challenges to the college student / young adult population
Obj c - Develop a broader understanding of therapeutic intervention with this population
