Recent months have seen a resurgence in national conversations around racial injustice. Counselors are not immune to the effects of racial trauma and systemic inequality. Often, Counselors may have a hard time processing their own emotions in order to help their clients process these issues, or they may feel inequipped to have conversations around race at all.

Join us for an open discussion on how counselors can respond to racial trauma and be better advocates for our clients of color.

Program Objectives:
1. Participants will be able to define racial trauma.
2. Participants will be able to identify symptoms of racial trauma in themselves or others.
3. Participants will be able to develop strategies to treat racial trauma.
