Presenter: Dr. Jennifer D. Deaton, LCMHC (NC)
May 28, 2021 | 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
1.5 CEs in Ethics

Assessment and evaluation have a long, rooted history of inherent bias. This presentation explores the painful history of assessment use among minority groups, and how these
roots remain in our work today. This presentation will deliver strategies and implication considerations that move beyond multicultural considerations and support fair and objective practices in counseling assessment.

Program Objectives:
1. Participants will be able to evaluate outcome and diagnostic measures for mental health assessments.
2. Participants will be able to practice evaluating mental health assessments.
3. Participants will be able to apply anti-racist practices to evaluating outcome and diagnostic measures for mental health assessments.
