Join us for an evening with Lizzy House.
Lizzy is a printmaker, fabric designer, author, and educator. She has released seven lines of fabric, including one of her latest for Andover, “Cat Nap.” Lizzy has designed a series of quilt patterns and is the author of the book “How to Enter the World of Textile Design.” She has a BFA in Printmaking and currently resides in Salt Lake City, Utah. When Lizzy isn’t printing, designing fabric, writing or teaching, she can usually be found curled in a small ball asleep on an airplane. And no, she doesn’t want any peanuts.

The Philly Modern Quilt Guild held it's first meeting February 27, 2010. Our monthly meetings draw between 35-45 active quilters from Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. While "modern quilting" can mean different things to different quilters, the two things we all share in the Philly MQG is a deep love for our craft and the desire to learn from those around us. We have quilters who are new to their quilting journey, and others who have been at it for decades.
The Philadelphia Modern Quilt Guild hosts annual sewing retreats, sew-ins, guild sewing bees, lectures/workshops, and charity quilt auctions. We also participate in national contests/challenges from The Modern Quilt Guild.
