The Philly Modern Quilt Guild held it's first meeting February 27, 2010. Our monthly meetings draw between 35-45 active quilters from Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. While "modern quilting" can mean different things to different quilters, the two things we all share in the Philly MQG is a deep love for our craft and the desire to learn from those around us. We have quilters who are new to their quilting journey, and others who have been at it for decades.
The Philadelphia Modern Quilt Guild hosts annual sewing retreats, sew-ins, guild sewing bees, lectures/workshops, and charity quilt auctions. We also participate in national contests/challenges from The Modern Quilt Guild.
