The purpose of the Six Sigma for Paralegals training is to familiarize paralegals with the Six Sigma methodology and discover how to apply it to the paralegal career.  During this training paralegals and aspiring paralegals are provided with the tools and information that will allow them to work in a modern law office setting. This program covers topics related to law firm e-mail policies, social media strategies, project management, client relations, effective client communication, and online legal research strategies in order to assist participants with meeting the challenges of today's paralegal working environment.  Applying Six Sigma to the paralegal role assists paralegals with understanding the importance of  avoiding the mundane tasks that paralegals who operate with a legal secretary mindset will tend to focus their day conducting.   Overall this approach to completing paralegal specific duties will allow those that successfully complete the program to outperform their counterparts.

What is Six Sigma?
Six Sigma is not a new methodology.  It has been used by organizations like Motorola, General Electric, and Hyundai Motor Co. for decades to improve quality and processes within their organizations.  Client communication breakdowns and legal process failures are at the core of malpractice lawsuits and complaints to the Bar.  Incorporating a successful tried and true quality enhancement program like Six Sigma into a legal organization, legal role, or legal specific job function will reap both measurable financial and productivity results for those that successfully implement the concepts that are taught in this program.

All of the following certificates are included with registration to the complete program and are part of the Expert Paralegal (EP) certification learning path:

Phase1: Basic Training
This program will specifically address methods to incorporate the Six Sigma methodology into the technological aspects of various legal processes.  Earn the Paralegal Yellow Belt: Legal Technology certificate.  
 
Phase 2: Intermediate Training 
In this program the various aspects of effective legal case management including law office systems, calendaring, docketing, document management, and document preparation will be discussed.  Earn the Paralegal Green Belt: Legal Case Management certificate. 

Phase 3: Advanced Training
This is an extensive client communication training program that focuses on customer service excellence and quality communication with focus on overcoming communication barriers.
