The 2019 club Match Play Championship is one of the club's major events. Round one will be held Saturday September 7 at Baylands Golf Links with match winners advancing to round two on Sunday, at Baylands. Subsequent rounds will be scheduled by the players themselves until a winner is determined. In 2018, 80 year old Don Kristofferson made it to the finals when his putter got hot. Matched against long-time member Frank Cavaliere, Don's putter cooled off and Frank won the championship with several good shots and a few key puts of his own.
