About our Speaker:
A certified Professional in Human Resources with over ten years of experience in Human Resource Management, Angie Vitale, Vice President, at BB&T Insurance Services in Maitland, focuses on employee benefit plan compliance. She has been with the agency since 2003. Angie consults with both private and public sector clients on compliance issues relating to Cafeteria Plans, COBRA, Consumer Driven Health Care, Corporate Wellness Programs, ERISA, HIPAA, Health Savings Accounts, Medicare Part D, as well as general Human Resources concerns and the Affordable Care Act. Angie is also a regular employee benefits speaker.
Ms. Vitale is a member of the BB&T Insurance Services Health Care Reform Taskforce and previously served as the Co-Chair of the BB&T Insurance Services Employee Benefits Compliance Advisory Group. Angie is past-Board Member for the Independent Insurance Agents of Central Florida and formerly served as the Chairman for the Florida Association of Insurance Agents’ Health and Benefits Task Force.
Ms. Vitale has an undergraduate degree in Business Management with a concentration on Human Resources from The University of Central Florida. She is also a licensed Life, Health and Variable Annuities agent. Angie holds her Senior Professional in Human Resources designation from The Human Resources Certification Institute and her SHRM Senior Certified Professional designation from The Society for Human Resource Management.
Angie’s prior experience in human resources and current focus on employee benefit plans provide a unique perspective for the changing requirements in today’s competitive marketplace.
