Today’s workforce is comprised of FIVE different generations—Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennial’s, Generation Z and the upcoming Generation Alpha. Each generation has its own knowledge set and value to offer in the workplace, with life experiences that impact how they work and communicate. Generational diversity brings different perspectives into the workplace that can provide a competitive advantage if managed properly. Understanding other people’s views and values will allow different generations to increase their appreciation of one another and communicate more effectively. When people feel heard, understood, and valued, they are more likely to invest time and energy into their projects and jobs and they are more likely to stay at an organization.
The session, brought to us by Megan Richardson of Dynamic Corporate Solutions Inc., engages an understanding of these different generations present in our workplace today as well as their unique characteristics. Join us as we explore new approaches to bridge generational gaps and create an inclusive work environment , providing tools and techniques that can be applied to leading today’s multi-generational workforce.
