Program Summary:The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) Advisor assists veterans in understanding employee eligibility and job entitlements, employer obligations, benefits and remedies under USERRA. The law is intended to encourage non-career uniformed service so that America can enjoy the protection of those services, staffed by qualified people, while maintaining a balance with the needs of private and public employers who also depend on these same individuals
About Our Speaker:
Roger is a retired Army LT Colonel and current volunteer with ESGR. He serves as Florida Vice Chair, Former Chair of the ESGR National Training Sub-committee and a member of the BOD. Roger is Chair Emeritus of the Virginia ESGR committee. Roger has been an ESGR Ombudsman for 18 years resolving a myriad of issues between service members and their employers. Roger retired from ExxonMobil as Director of Electronic Commerce and has over 30 years of experience in management and consulting. As Dir. EC for ExxonMobil Roger was responsible for the electronic commerce center of excellence. Roger was also VP Supply Chain Management at Sterling Commerce and responsible for assisting clients develop their automated supply chain management programs. Roger chaired the Data Industry Standards Association (DISA) BOD and helped develop and implement the electronic data interchange standards in use today. Roger was appointed an Army Reserve Ambassador in December 2017 by the Chief Army Reserve. In this Senior Executive Service Two Star General protocol position he carries the important readiness mission to the attention of lawmakers, business and other civilian organizations.
