Life after high school can be a challenge but it doesn’t have to be that way for individuals with autism. During this session we’ll talk about the value of continuing academic and social learning, building skills for employment, and learning ways to manage our adult lives. We’ll learn why these years after high school have high value, and ways to be sure our children are in programs that meet their needs while helping them move towards independence.

About the Speaker
Melissa Kenig is the Executive Director of New Vista School and New Vista Career Academy and has an adult son with autism. Melissa has spent the last decade dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with autism, founding a nonprofit that enables competitive employment and working on programs that develop the potential of every individual.

The meeting starts at 7:00pm, and is free to individuals and families dealing with AS, HFA or PDD-NOS, but reservations are required.
