Moving out of the house can be challenging for individuals with ASD. There are the financial constraints as well as what is the appropriate living situation. Join us on Monday, June 20th for a discussion of residence alternatives and resources that are available.  We have put together the following panel:

  • Dr. Adam Gottdank, Director of Disability Support Services (DSS) for North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE)
  • Jack Stanton, Associate Director of Housing, for the Regional Center 

About the Speaker
Adam Gottdank
Adam S. U. Gottdank is the Director of Disability Support Services (DSS) for North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE), part of the North Orange County Community College District. He has been with NOCE for 16 years, and was previously a full-time faculty person, providing DSS counseling and instruction for students at NOCE. Adam is Past-President of the Academic Senate. He is currently on the Executive Committee for the California Association for Postsecondary Education and Disability (CAPED), and he is the southern chair of CAPED’s Intellectual Disability – Autism Spectrum Disorder Interest Group. Adam spent 10 years at Regional Center of OC as part of their management team. He was one of their Directors, Area Managers, and he started out as a Service Coordinator. Prior to Regional Center, Adam worked with individuals who have disabilities at San Clemente High School and Capistrano by the Sea Hospital. He is proud to have been a natural support to individuals placed for employment in grocery stores. Adam has several family members with disabilities. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Policy, Special Education and Disability; and his M.A. in Psychology and Counseling.

Jack Stanton
Jack Stanton, Associate Director of Housing, for the Regional Center of Orange County, is responsible for living options, adult resources, independent and supported living services.
