12 p.m., Session 1 — Women and Political Power After the 2020 Elections: A Conversation Between Controller Betty Yee and NWPC CA President Karriann Farrell Hinds
Discussion regarding how women fared in 2020 elections at the state and national levels, how women and girls have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and the opportunities for advancing policies addressing the needs of women and girls in the coming year.
1 p.m. Session 2 — Honoring Women Who Use Their Power for Good: Recognizing the Service of Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson and Senator Holly J. Mitchell
Karen Humphrey will lead a commemoration of the service of these outgoing legislators who dedicated their careers to promoting gender equity in legislation.
2 p.m., Session 3 — The Role of the Caucus in Pushing the Pro-Woman Agenda
Panel of NPWC CA leaders discussing how the state and local caucuses were influential in electing women in 2020 who centered gender equity in their platforms and how to build on that success going forward.
