EVENT FACILITATORS

Anatomy of a Campaign & Campaign Manager Module:   Angelica Ramos-Allen
Angelica Ramos-Allen is one of NWPC’s bright stars, an NWPC certified from the tech capital of the world: Silicon Valley, CA. As a political consultant with a 95% winning average, she has a reputation for taking on campaigns that became the upset of the year. (Silicon Valley has been a tough place for women’s equality efforts). Her career includes helping women wherever they need assistance: being a CA-certified mediator and rape crisis counselor, a court-appointed special advocate (CASA) with Child Advocates of Silicon Valley, Law Facilitator for at-risk youth with Fresh Lifelines for Youth, and a Fellow with the Children's Defense Fund.

She is also President of the National Women's Political Caucus of Silicon Valley and services on the NWPC CA State Board as the Communications Chair.  Angelica is dedicated to gender parity at all levels of leadership. She now serves as Santa Clara Supervisor Susan Ellenberg's Policy Director (a candidate she helped overcome a 5 to 1 spending difference from her opponent).

Finance Director & Fundraising Module:  Sherri Loveland
Since leaving the workforce in 1999, Sherri Loveland has spent a great deal of time volunteering for local organizations, beginning with the Orange County Interfaith Coalition for the Environment (OCICE) in 1999, serving on the board since 2001 as Recording Secretary, Co-Chair (10 years) and Treasurer.

In 2010, she was introduced to the National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC) and has been a member of the Orange County caucus ever since, serving as the Communications Chair, Treasurer, Events Chair, Membership Chair, and President. She currently serves as the Treasurer.  She served as the NWPC California President for 2 years and has since served as the VP of Training and Education.

Sherri has volunteered on several campaigns, including Beckie Gomez for Tustin City Council and Beckie Gomez for OC Board of Supervisors, as well as Loretta Sanchez for Congress and Loretta Sanchez for OC Board of Supervisors.  She has also campaigned for Katie Porter’s 2018 campaign for Congressional District 45, where she successfully removed anti-choice Congresswoman, Mimi Walters.

Sherri now resides in Prescott, Arizona with her husband and 2 dogs.  She remains active with the NWPC California and Orange County chapters, as well as Arizona Women’s List and the Democratic Women of Yavapai County.

Field Director & Volunteer Coordinator Module:  Sabrina Ashjian
Sabrina Ashjian is a Clinical Supervising Attorney at UC Berkeley’s Environmental Law Clinic and the California State Director for the Humane Society of the United States. Ashjian began her career as a public defender. She was also a consumer fraud & environmental crimes prosecutor, pursuing cases against companies for predatory practices and environmental harms. She served as Chairperson of the State of California’s Cannabis Control Appeals Panel after being appointed by Governor Brown.

Ashjian serves on the national non-profit board of National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC) and statewide non-profit boards of National Women’s Political Caucus of California (NWPC CA), Emerge California, California Lawyers Association Environmental Law Section, and on the advisory board of Fund Her. For multiple organizations, she is the Legislative & Public Policy Chair and conducts trainings statewide on the fundamentals of legislation.

Ashjian received a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University, a master’s degree from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Journalism, and a JD/MBA from Pepperdine University. She is a certified trainer for NWPC. Ashjian is admitted to practice law in California, New York, and in the United States Supreme Court.
