Kayakers - Complete the required SWIM, CAPSIZE & ASSISTED RESCUE assessment in the Highland Park High School swimming pool, rather than the very cold waters of Lake Michigan!  Attend at 9:00am OR 10:30am

Successful completion of the Intro to Kayaking course Parts I & II is required to use NSYC club Kayaks. This event is a one-time opportunity for NSYC Members to complete the SWIM, CAPSIZE AND ASSISTED RESCUE portion of the two part Intro course INDOORS. Those unable to attend this 90-minute pool session will have another opportunity to complete the Swim, Capsize and Assisted Rescue assessment on Lake Michigan, during the Intro course.

Minors ages 13 to 17 are required to attend with an adult member. There is no charge to NSYC members, pre-registration is required and there is a minimum age of 13 to participate.  

Need to Know: Wear or bring appropriate swimming attire and be prepared to swim and get wet. Locker rooms are available for changing. Park off of the Vine St. entrance and look for the North Shore Yacht Club sign and enter at the swimming pool entrance.
