Paddlers (Kayak & Stand Up Paddleboard/SUP) - Complete our required SWIM & CAPSIZE assessment for Kayak, SUP or both, in the Highland Park swimming pool rather than the very cold waters of Lake Michigan! This is a one time indoor opportunity for Members to complete the required SWIM and CAPSIZE only portion of the SWIM, SKILLS & WATER SAFETY Assessment. This portion of the required assessment is done during the Intro to Kayak class or SUP session. It takes approximately 30 minutes for each, Kayak or SUP session. Minors are required to attend with an adult member. No Charge to NSYC members and pre registration is required.
Need to Know: Wear or bring appropriate swimming attire and be prepared to swim and get wet. Locker rooms are available for changing. Park off of the Vine St. entrance and look for the North Shore Yacht Club sign and enter at the swimming pool entrance.
