NMIF Night of Heroes Gala

Important Update: POSTPONED
As a result of the continued government shut down, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to delay our 2025 National Military Intelligence Night of Heroes scheduled for Thursday, 20 November 2025 until an alternate date of Thursday, 29 January 2026.
For 41 years, NMIF has been honored to partner with Senior leaders across the Defense Intelligence Community and Homeland Security to host a joint celebratory awards gala, to honor the outstanding performers selected by each organization for exceptional performance, while also celebrating the history and collective strength of our intelligence team of teams.
While planning for this year’s Gala is largely complete, the shutdown and subsequent impacts on valued members of intelligence teams delayed several organizations from completing their awards processes and introduced limitations on travel which will impede our honorees stationed outside of the D.C. area from attending the event in their honor.
For this reason, after discussions with our foundation, senior IC leaders and sponsors, we have rescheduled this year’s event to Thursday, 29 January 2026, to ensure our 2025 NMIF honorees can be celebrated in the presence of their Senior Leaders, fellow honorees, and family members and peers.
We thank all of you for continued support for our foundation and this wonderful event and look forward to seeing you as we celebrate this year’s honorees in January!

Each year NMIF and the U.S. Military Intelligence Community recognize outstanding performances by civilian, enlisted, and officer military intelligence professionals, and exceptional student scholarship winners. Recognition goes to individuals from all the Services, the Guard and Reserves, and the Military Intelligence Agencies. Selections for the awards are made by the Services and participating Intelligence Agencies. In addition, NMIF announces the winners of our NMIF Merit Scholarships, and recognize these outstanding students.
