Pharmacist: (2 Contact Hours of Law CE)
1. Review pharmacist liability in making drug therapy recommendations. 
2. Recall legal responsibility of a pharmacist in medication management through case studies. 
3. Identify strategies to reduce liability risk.
4. Identify the role that pharmacy regulations play in determining the standard of care
 
Technician: (2 Contact Hours of Law CE)
1. Review areas of liability risk for pharmacy technicians 
2. Recall legal responsibility of a pharmacy technician through case studies. 
3. Identify strategies to reduce liability risk.
4. Identify the elements of a negligence case and what the plaintiff has to prove

There is no fee for NJSHP members attending this program.

NON-MEMBERS:  Non-members wishing to attend will be charged a fee of $20 applied to NJSHP membership fee if join prior to 2PM on Friday, February 9, 2024.

This is a knowledge-based program for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.  This program provides 2.0 contact hours of continuing education credits. 

The New Jersey Society of Health-System Pharmacy (NJSHP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council For Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Credit will only be awarded for individuals who successfully fulfill all requirements, including verified attendance, successful completion of the activity, and submission of the post-session meeting evaluation. Credit is uploaded to CPE Monitor within 45-days of the activity.
 
Per ACPE requirements, CPE credit must be claimed within 60 days of being earned. To be sure your CE is accepted inside of ACPE’s 60-day window, plan to complete your activity evaluation within 45 days of event conclusion. Once you have completed your activity evaluation, we encourage you to check your NABP e-Profile account to verify your credits were transferred successfully before the ACPE 60-day deadline. After the 60-day deadline, NJSHP will no longer be able to report your credit(s) for this activity.
