How does a biological cell resemble salad dressing? Why is a glass not crystalline? Join your fellow New England Science Writers for a small-group discussion with Dartmouth professor Jane Lipson about using chemistry and physics to understand the world around us. Lipson, a 2017-18 fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, is a “physical chemist” - someone who works at the boundary between areas traditionally classified as physics and chemistry.

WHEN: Tuesday, April 24, at 6 pm

WHERE: Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, Byerly Hall, 8 Garden St, Cambridge, MA

Please contact event chair Elizabeth Thomson with any questions.
