The Port of Virginia is pleased to announce the Port of Virginia Marine Firefighting Command
School on October 25-28, 2022. The focus of this training is to help Incident Commanders
prepare for and manage incidents in the marine environment.  

This course will provide command level training that will allow for sound decision making and
take a more in-depth look at the training topics that are covered during the Hampton Roads
Marine Firefighting School.

The primary target audience for this class is the officer level members from our Regional MIRT
agencies.

The pre-requisites for the course are:
- Must be an active member of your agency and responsible for response to maritime
incidents
- Preferably Company Officer or above, however senior firefighters will be considered

The course is scheduled to be a 4-day class with a 50-student limit. There is no registration fee.

The class will be held at the Virginia Beach Fire Training Center, 927 S. Birdneck Rd.
Virginia Beach, VA.

Lunch will be provided each day.  

Personal infomation needed on registration due to access to certain facilities.

Lodging: The Country Inn and Suites, 1801 Atlantic Ave,  Virginia Beach, VA is offering a room
