Join us for our second Legislative Action Workshop on June 27 at Scholar's Lounge in Boston. This series is designed to bring people together to meet fellow feminists, to learn about different methods of legislative advocacy, and to put those methods to use in support of Mass NOW's legislative agenda.
This workshop will focus on writing letters to the editor as a tool for legislative advocacy. We will be joined by guest speaker Matt Wilder, the communications consultant for the Freedom for All Massachusetts campaign. Freedom for All Massachusetts is a campaign to defeat the 2018 ballot measure allowing discrimination against transgender people in public places. We will talk about how to effectively write a letter to the editor to support this campaign, particularly from the feminist lense shared by Mass NOW members.
We will begin gathering at Scholar's Lounge at 5:45 to socialize, and the program will begin at 6pm. Come socialize, learn how to be an effective advocate, and take action!
