About this Hive Inspection
This Hive Inspection is being led by Gina Gallucci at Blue Heron Nature Preserve, 4055 Roswell Road Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30342. We will meet in the parking lot by 9:45. Everyone will meet in the lot and walk over to the apiary at 10:00. Please be on time, as the apiary isn't in sight of the parking lot.
Hive inspections are free for MABA members. The non-member fee is $15.
You are required to bring and wear protective gear. The options are:
• Full bee suit with attached veil, closed-toe shoes, socks, and gloves, or
• Bee jacket with attached veil, long pants, closed-toe shoes, socks, and gloves, or
• Bee veil, light-colored shirt with long sleeves, long pants, closed-toe shoes, socks, and gloves.
You will not be allowed to participate without the minimum protective equipment required, but if you need to borrow some please reach out to Julia before the event and she can bring gear for you to borrow.
