Welcome to the website for the Inaugural Emergency Preparedness Conference presented by the Keystone Emergency Management Association (KEMA). KEMA is Pennsylvania’s official professional association dedicated to providing a Commonwealth-wide forum for the exchange of ideas, techniques, and best practices in Emergency Management. This year, the KEMA Executive Board is enthusiastic to sponsor a conference for emergency preparedness professionals, organized by emergency professionals professionals.
The theme for the Inaugural Emergency Preparedness Conference is, “Creating Connections, Building Bridges . . . Together.” The wonderful land that makes up the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is vastly different from one border to the other and so are its’ people. Preparing for emergencies is no different, they affect us all similarly, yet differently. Only by “Creating Connections, Building Bridges . . . Together” will we become stronger and more resilient when faced with disasters.
