Picnic with friends!

Let us discover Lucavsala island. An island on the Daugava river. It was fully re-worked only a few years ago, and became a popular place for recreation. 

Enjoy the nature while remaining close to the city centre of Riga.

• Where: Parking Place Lucavsala park (meeting point)
• What: Picnic potluck – bring your favourite dish or drinks to share

The Lucavsala park provides various activities- swimming area equipped with changing cabins, beach for both children and adults  volleyball pitches, playground and waterpark.

Suggestions for potluck picnic
Sharing our favorite foods and quality time is the focus of our picnic. Come and join us. 

• something to drink,
• a few blankets to sit on,
• pack some plates and forks, 
• Cups, napkins, 
• trash bags,
• Sandwiches, pasta salad, couscous salad, 
• cakes, cookies, cinnamon roles, fresh baked bread,
• vegetable sticks, dips, chicken nuggets, mini tomatoes, 
• watermelon, grapes, cheese etc.

Bring your children if you like, there is a nice playground in the park.

How to get here

• By car: After reaching the Salu bridge / Mukusalas Street roundabout, turn next to the Neste service station and K-Rauta store; then turn left and you’ve arrived.
• By public transit: Take trolleybus No. 19 and get off at the “Lucavsala” stop
• On bicycle: Cross Akmens or Salu bridge. The ride takes 20 minutes.
