Mr. Bob Stewart graduated in Electrical Engineering (Power) from The University of British Columbia (UBC) in 1981 and registered as a Professional Engineer in BC in 1985. Soon after graduation from UBC, Bob started as Engineering Pupil and Engineer-In-Training in BC Hydro, where he has accumulated about 38 years of work experience. He was seconded to Ontario Hydro for 11 months on Special Assignment, and then the Electrical Maintenance Manager for 18 months and the Plant Manager for 4 months at GMS as Special Backfill Assignments. He has also served over 10 years in departmental, divisional and plant management roles. Bob has been a member of IEEE for 41 years and serviced on the Substation Committee as member and Subcommittee Chair for 12 years, and he is a Past President of Engineers and Geoscientists BC (2017-2018). Bob is married with two daughters, and he is very much committed to the engineering community as well as the community at large.
