Join GLIFAA on February 24 for our annual Pink Party at the Chastleton Ballroom.
A portion of the funds raised will be used to support Rasel Ahmed, a LGBTI activist from Bangladesh, during his asylum seeking process in Washington, DC. Many of you may recall his story as he was forced to flee the country after two of his best friends and fellow LGBT activists, Xulhaz Mannan (a USAID/Bangladesh employee) and Mahbub Rabbi Tonoy, were murdered for being gay in April 2016. Rasel and other Bangladeshi LGBT activists received death threats and went into exile. Rasel received a one year fellowship with the HRC in Washington, DC that allowed him to escape from Bangladesh. During his time there, he worked to ensure that his friends' stories were heard and curated this photo exhibit that was displayed at the HRC and USAID.
Advance tickets will be $20 for GLIFAA members and $25 for non-members. To take advantage of the member discount, you must log into MemberPlanet. If after logging in you still do not receive the discount, please check to make sure your dues are up to date. Please contact president@glifaa.org with any technical issues.
