Join us for Seed and Soil School! Seeds and soil are the foundation for a resilient food community and you can learn to save and make them both!
We'll explore:
-The basics on how to save seeds with hands-on demos and garden tours of our small scale community seed collective.
-A discussion on ways to reduce food waste, and various techniques to compost those scraps!
-Some of our favorite decomposers: earthworms, soldier flies and meal worms, that turn food scraps into soil which will help you grow seeds.
-The majestic mound of compost collected and managed by Beaten Path Compost with a demonstration, and inside look at small sized urban compost operation and how they thoughtfully turn waste into live-giving soil.
A sliding scale donation from $15 to $35 is suggested, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please donate what you can for this workshop, and help us grow more seeds and soil!
