What’s Your Story?
Dr. Simpson will be your guide as you discover the true theme that lies below the surface and drives your linear story, the one you think you’re writing. We’ll discuss many subjects including the important components of all memoirs. You will also learn ways to turn your inner critic into your ally. Class time will include a combination of lecture, discussion, and writing exercises. Content will be suitable both for those contemplating writing a memoir, as well as those already writing one, and even if writing a memoir hasn’t occurred to you, this class will sharpen your creative tools for any type of writing. You will leave inspired, motivated, and with morsels of writing to be used in your memoir or other creative endeavors.
