"I want to sell my book, but I am afraid to be pushy." Does that sound familiar to you? It is the most expressed sentence I hear authors exclaim once they've self-published their work. Maybe you are one of them?
Contrary to what many believe, marketing is not something unappealing. Marketing is all about making and maintaining relationships. You do need to be a bit entrepreneurial-minded and willing to see marketing as a way to connect with others, rather than to hard sell.
The goal of Lieve Maas' book marketing workshop, From Published Book to Bestseller, is to help authors wrap their brains around strategies that will enhance their book sales and help them get their message out. During the highly interactive workshop, you will set goals, devise a marketing plan, develop strategies and determine actions. Bring a pen and a notebook. You'll need them.
