We are excited to be partnering with Prevent Blindness Georgia to provide vision screenings for local preschool students.
Prevent Blindness Georgia will be conducting a certification class for our alumnae chapter of Wednesday, August 14th at 10:30 am. The training will last for approximately 2 hours where we will be learning how to operate the vision screening camera our chapter is purchasing as well as utilizing eye charts. Upon completion you will be certified to conduct vision screenings for 3 years.

*unfortunately food and drink are not allowed in the library so they have added in a few extra minutes for us to take a short break in the middle to step out and have a snack if you choose to bring one.
If you would like to join us for lunch immediately following the training, we are going to Taqueria Tsunami across the street.
If you want to become a certified vision screener and are unable to attend the training that day, no worries as Prevent Blindness is willing to schedule seperate sessions for those who are unable to attend.
If you are unsure your schedule will allow for you to go into classrooms this year, but are available to attend the training please still come as the certification is good for 3 years.
