The West Woodland Spring Fundraiser raises remaining funds needed to support the 2019-2020 PTA budget. Your support makes West Woodland a great school!
In lieu of the spring fundraising party we are doing a virtual ask.
Each year, the PTA’s largest single expenditure is an “instructional grant” – a financial gift we make to the school to support additional staffing beyond that allocated by the District. This grant allows the school to increase the number of staff hours dedicated to extra instructional support in the classroom (e.g., additional certified staff who help lower class size during specific subjects, provide intervention support, etc.), playground/ lunchroom supervision, instrumental music, counseling and tutoring.
Outside of the instructional grant, PTA donations also fund programs that contribute to students’ academic success and enrichment and help build community, such as school assemblies, library books, computer lab, music programs, art instruction, tutoring, community programs (e.g., science night, art night and the bike rodeo), enrichment scholarships and our race and equity team’s programs.
