Wiseburn Education Foundation Annual Appeal

Support Excellence in Public Education!

Outstanding schools create outstanding communities. A top reason why new resident purchases a home in our community, or why parents apply for an inter-district permit transfer, is because of the award winning Wiseburn Unified School District (WUSD). With top notch teachers, dedicated administrators and strong community involvement, students show strong academic performance. Please help maintain this traditon of excellence by supporting the Wiseburn Education Foundation (WEF).

Established in 1996, WEF provides funding for music, arts, STEM and other valuable educational programs within the WUSD. In the 2016-2017 school year, WEF awarded over $65,000. This year WEF wants to achieve even more. Donations for the 2017-2018 school year will help to fund:
  • Secrets of the Heart, a music and dance program, for Kindergarten 
    Growing Great, science-based garden and nutrition education, at Anza and Burnett Elementary Schools
    Folk Dance Program at Cabrillo Elementary School
    Art Education- yearlong  arts education in dance theatre and visual arts for grades 3rd through 8th
    Music Education- vocal and instrumental instruction, in grades 3rd through 8th. New this year, fifth grade Ukelele instruction made possible from donations to the Doug Sweeney Memorial Fund.
    StrideTrack- web based run tracking program
    WEF Grants for classroom and grade level learning or school site needs
    PTA/PTSA Grants to each school
    Classroom music equipement for Da Vinci Music Program
 
WEF needs your support to maintain these critical programs and help to maintain quality public education in our community. Donations of all levels are appreciated and tax deductible. We are encouraging parents of students to donate $100 per child.  We strive for 100% participation from every family.   Your contribution will enhance student learning throughout the district and support the very backbone of our community.
