Foundation campaign to endow the Michael Mills Leadership Scholarship
Being a leader is no easy task. It requires strong knowledge, skill, and humility. Leaders are those that we look to for direction, inspiration, advice, and unity. Michael Mills embodies this spirit of a leader.
 
Michael Mills was a founding board member and president of the Virginia FBLA-PBL Foundation for 25 years—helping to endow the foundation to $500,000 in 2018. His passion for FBLA-PBL runs deep and spans over 35 years—from serving as a state and national officer to judging competitive events and being a mentor to local chapters, members, and advisers. Under his leadership, the Foundation Leadership Institute was launched to provide a phenomenal leadership experience to underclassmen embarking on their FBLA journey.
 
Mills is honored through a scholarship for emerging leadership talents in which he fostered in countless members over the course of his many years in FBLA-PBL. The Michael Mills Leadership Scholarship encourages students to develop their leadership abilities through practical experience, personal reflection, and in the community with mentors and peers. This leadership scholarship rewards students who show skills in motivating others in and out of the classroom, recognizes the best and brightest students, and helps to develop future business and community leaders. 
 
The Learn to Lead Campaign empowers the foundation to endow the Michael Mills Leadership Scholarship so future generations of leaders are recognized for their leadership journeys and to commemorate the legacy of Michael Mills for his many contributions to FBLA-PBL.
