Growing up we didn't really celebrate birthdays in my family. My first was my sweet 16 & it was a disaster... but I'll tell you more about that when we meet in person. :-)
It took me a long time to learn to appreciate the significance of my birthday... to realize that I am significant and can do significant things in this world, no matter how big or small the act.
