Dear Mantua Supporter,
We are participating in the Run for Rocky this year to provide resources, staff development, and additional activities to our Mantua school and community. Please help us meet our goals! Donate at the link below to support us:

The Run for Rocky is one of the Mantua PTA’s largest fundraisers of the year that seeks to generate funds that will support school needs and opportunities, including technology, seating and furniture, STEM kits, the beautification of our school (including support for the gardening committee), licenses for math software, new books, teacher and staff appreciation, the PTA wish fund, community events like the spring dance, additional classroom expenses, learning resources, and staff development.
 
The Run for Rocky also promotes healthy habits, boosts school spirit and fosters community involvement. 
 
INCENTIVES!!
Students that raise money will have the chance to participate in our Large Gift Raffle! For every $50 they raise, their name will be entered one time into the raffle. Winners will be announced after the completion of our fundraising period on November 3rd! We are also giving all students a chance to win one prize, regardless of how much money they did or did not raise. This prize will be raffled off after all large prizes have been awarded.

As a gift to EVERY STUDENT, on the morning of Run For Rocky, they will each receive the official Run for Rocky T-shirt, generously sponsored by Goldfish Swim School – Falls Church; Kaizen MMA – Fairfax; Purple Plum Dentistry; Jennifer Mack Properties; Travis Pugh, Realtor, Samson Properties; and Viking Capital.
 
Additionally, during the week of Run for Rocky, the classrooms with the highest levels of participation will earn a special class incentive from their teacher. Only one classroom winner per day (unless there is a tie) and a classroom can only win once during the week.
 
To say thanks to our teachers for helping us raise funds for the school, we will host a special “teachers-only” raffle. For every $200 that a classroom raises, the classroom teacher will get his/her name in the teacher raffle for two $150 gift cards from Amazon, generously sponsored by Quest Remodeling, Ryan Doan. Drawings for those prizes will be after the fundraising period ends November 3rd.

HELP US MEET THE CHALLENGE by sharing the Run for Rocky’s donation link with friends and family. If we meet at least 50% and then 100% of our $35,000 goal as a school, the students will get 2 special surprises from the school administration!

            Grades 4 & 5: 9:30 -10:15 AM
            Grades K - 2: 10:30 -11:15 AM
            Grades 3 & 6: 11:30 AM– 12:15 PM
November 3 – Last day to collect money

SPIRIT DAYS
During the days leading up to Run for Rocky, we’re going to encourage students to participate in Spirit Week! 
Monday, October 23 – School Spirit Day (wear Mantua gear or red)
Tuesday, October 24 – Team Day (wear your favorite team shirt or jersey – any teams counts!)
Wednesday, October 25 – Wacky Wednesday (crazy hat/hair/clothes day)
Thursday, October 26 – Pajama Day
Friday, October 27 – Spirit Parade Dress Up Day and Run for Rocky

Monday, October 30 will be the rain day for the run if needed.
