Mackenzie Bryan
This is my 5th year fundraising for Law Enforcement United. In 2011 a friend and co-worker of my parents were killed in the line of duty. I will never forget the day my mom called my school to have me come to the office. Picking the phone up, I was not expecting the conversation we were going to have. She informed me a neighbor would pick me up from school. There had been a shooting in St Pete. My world froze as she said, my mind immediately thinking the worst, given both mom and dad were at work. Both mom and dad were physically okay, but someone shot two of their coworkers; one was a dear friend Tom Baitinger along with Jeff Yaslowitz. After experiencing losing a friend to a police shooting, I experienced many emotions and how painful it was to lose someone in such a horrendous way. When I turned 18, 2016 was the first year I could join LEU and go with my mom as a support member and help raise money for a fantastic organization that rallies behind those affected by line of duty death
