Stephanie Yaslowitz Barnes
January 24,2021 will mark 10 years that my brother's life was taken from us. It still seems like it just happened yesterday. My brother was a son, a brother, a husband and a father to three beautiful children. As hard as it has been losing my brother, we have been able to cling to God's promise that we will see him again in heaven. Even with that assurance, we are still dealing with his loss, and the trauma that his loss left us with. About a year after Jeff's death, I learned of a wonderful organization called Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), when we traveled to Washington DC where Jeff's name was etched on the Law Enforcement Memorial Wall. Learning about the great things that C.O.P.S. offers survivors allowed me to begin a healing process with others that understood the pain that survivors feel when they lose a loved one in the line of duty. I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to honor my brother, while riding to help support other survivors who lost
