Vision: The vision for the Latino Caucus for Public Health Vision Campaign is to empower caucus members and advocates through the Latino Voices in Health campaign, informational webinars, and student research and leadership opportunities. Now is the time that we stand up for our communities and play an active role in ensuring that we see a day where there is health equity for all.

Objectives:

To partner with other organizations and individuals that are working towards the same goals;
To pave the way for leadership and research opportunities in our student and young professional membership core that will give them the tools to become leaders;
To educate, inform, and advocate for latino health issues throughout the country;
To provide active support for the efforts being done to rebuild Puerto Rican communities after the Hurricane.

Mission:
The Latino Caucus for Public Health’s mission is to represent and advocate for the health interests of the Latino community, both within and outside the American Public Health Association, while providing leadership opportunities for students and young professionals to engage in research, policy, and advocacy efforts.

Vision:
Latino Caucus for Public Health envisions itself and its members as playing a pivotal role in research, policy, and advocacy for health issues that impact Latinos throughout the Americas in order to influence social reform.

Objectives:

To facilitate active participation of Latino public health workers in the organizational and programmatic activities of APHA;
To provide a means for professional growth for Latino Caucus members and others in public health;
To engage in advocacy, related to educating the public concerning Latino health issues and health concerns;
To empower latinos to use their voices to speak out on latino-focused health issues in and out of the United States.
